How to Make Money Online With Affiliate Marketing For Beginners

Once you've selected your product, created your link, and got it ready for use, you'll need to set up your channel. For example, if your product is a weight loss product, especially a flat stomach, then your channel should be focused on weight loss and fitness. That way, you can sell more related products than just call your channel "Flat Belly Channel" or something. Do you know what i mean?

Take an existing offer on Clickbank as an example. The product is called "Flat Belly Fix".

When choosing a Clickbank offer, make sure that this is well received by consumers. To check this, look at the so-called "Grav" or gravity factor. This means how many partners are currently receiving sales from the product. If it's 0, no one currently gets sales, so stay away! The higher the number, the more successful the product, but also the competition.

Now that we have our product, you need to click advertise. Provided you have already signed up for Clickbank, you can retrieve your link. If not, just follow the steps to set up an account.

Once you have the link after clicking on "Apply," you'll need to trim it. Well, a word of caution – many websites tend to frown on shortened links. On Youtube you can get away with it most of the time. Here it helps to have your own website, as you redirect your traffic to a "bridge" page where you "pre-sell" to your customers. But here we do something very simple and guide the customer to the offer. Your video will still resell.

Create your video

This will be the hardest part of the process. You have to decide in which format your video should be. I'll tell you that the most effective way to get your message across is to create a video testimonial for your product in front of the camera. In that case, you can review the "Flat Belly Fix" by talking about it and mentioning why it's great and why your customer should buy it.

Well, assuming you do not have the product, but you can ask the seller if you have review access. In the worst case, you can simply buy the product and after a few sales it should already be paid.

I will not go into detail on how to create videos, as there are tons of Youtubers that can help. I just wanted you to understand the mechanics of the whole and know what steps to take.

If you are camera shy, you can also do a slide show. You would make slides in dot form and talk about them as if you were in front of the camera. Personally, I use Camtasia for it, but it's not cheap – it was about $ 250 when I bought it. There are some free versions for editing software, but research a bit to find out which one works best for you.

Ok, now you have finished your video, what's next?

Make sure you give your video a title based on the keyword you want to classify. If you choose Youtube Search, search, enter a few key words, and see what's coming. You can see what people are looking for. In that case, you may want to target "how to get a flat stomach for people over 30" or something. If you are too wide, how = get a flat stomach, you will be swallowed by large channels, which are all for the term.

In your description, the first two sentences should include your keywords and an introduction to your video along with your link.

For your link, you must shorten it as described above. You can use the following:

It's easy to use, just enter your Clickbank ID and it will shorten it. For bit.ly and tinyurl you can customize it with your own text, if available. That way, it's not an ugly connection and looks more professional.

Make sure your link is visible in the description in your video. You should also write a description of the product – try at least 200 words.

The better option – Create a website

You can still do Youtube, but creating a website is a better option. The reason is the You will own this asset. With Youtube, your content can be deleted at any time, or your shortened link may no longer work. Not to say that this will ever happen, but it has happened.

I've made a video that shows how easy it is to set up a blog or website:

The reason for creating a website for your affiliate is simple: you have full control over it and can build that website for years to come.

The format for creating your website is similar in some ways to Youtube. If your niche is weight loss and fitness, you should call your website somehow with these keywords. Remember to create a brand instead of making it a common phrase. Google loves brands. In that case, you could call it "weightless tipsby xxxx" where xxxx is your name or something like that. Keep it as short as possible.

I have a separate article that shows you How do I create a blog / website? Found here, so take a break and try it – the instructions make it easy.

So, if you've already set up your blog, your first posts will be about your niche topic. In this case, we would write some articles about the benefits of fitness, the benefits of weight loss, and so on.

There are several ways to promote the Flat Belly Fix product. One is to mention it casually in your posts where you insert the link, or you could write a review about the product. If you chose the latter, you would call the article "Flat Belly Fix Review". You can expand the title if you want, but make sure it starts like this and that's how it will be in the URL – SEO Tip!

Landing page builder

This is an option if you want to create really attractive and well-converting pages. They are not free, but definitely something you can explore on the road.

A landing page is essentially an attractive-looking sales page where users opt for an offer (which they would advertise via email) or a product for sale directly on the page. This can be done in several ways, and the first one you've probably heard of it – clickfunnels. I did it full Review on clickfunnels that you can read here.

There are cheaper alternatives to clickfunnels. One of my favorites (and the one I'm using right now) is Thrive Architect. There are other alternatives and you can see them all in my article Alternatives to clickfunnels.

Social accounts

Together with your website, you want to create your social accounts. You should have at least a Facebook page and a Twitter account. You can also include others like Instagram, Google+. etc. Make sure they all point to the URL of your website and are suitable for your niche.

You do not have to post on this every day, but it would be a good idea to post your articles and possibly other news in your niche.

Sell to Amazon as a partner

Some people think that you need to sell your own products on Amazon, but that's just not true. With an Amazon Associates account (free to register), you can promote virtually any product on Amazon.

If someone clicks on your link, you will receive a commission. The commissions at Amazon are much lower than, for example, Clickbank. Amazon commissions vary from 4% to 10%, depending on the product.

Although this is low, everyone knows Amazon, so the trust is high. Jeff Bezos is for a reason the richest man in the world – people love shopping at Amazon.

Not only that, if someone makes an extra purchase that is not the product you advertise, you still receive a commission on that product, so it can truly multiply. You'll need to get the details directly from Amazon Associates when you sign up to fully understand their commission payouts and rules.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

One of my favorite topics is SEO. Once you understand how it works, you should be able to see how your leaderboards increase over time.

Benefits of SEO:

The advantage of SEO is that the traffic is VERY targeted. For example, if you rank on a keyword "How to build a boat," and your site is based on boats that refer to an article on boat building – with a partner program – you can do it very well. You do not have to convince anyone to build a boat – they already want it and they provide the solution to their problem.

Disadvantages of SEO:

The biggest is the time. SEO takes time to rank, sometimes months. Sure, if you have a high-authority blog and are trying to qualify for something that has little competition, you could be on the first page in a day. Typically, however, this is not the case in affiliate marketing. It is very competitive, but it can be done.

At least do this

In short, your site must be at least search engine friendly so that spiders can crawl your site (imagine a Google bot scanning your page) and index them accordingly. If there are problems with your website, you will not rank very well.

It can be helpful to share your website (or article on a website) on social media, along with backlinks to your website. Without other websites, blogs, and social networks that mention your site, you will not be ranked well.

SEO is a complicated game, but once you understand it, it's easy. There is too much information for the purposes of this article, but maybe I will put together a course on SEO in the future.

Paid traffic

Paid traffic is an option for those who want immediate results. It's a great way to quickly look at your website while creating an opportunity. It does, however, have a price.

But if properly targeted, your ads can be profitable. For affiliate marketing, the main sources of paid traffic are Facebook, Google Adwords and Solo Ads.

Facebook ads

With Facebook Ads, you can target customers who are interested in your offers. In our example, "Flat Belly Fix", you'd create an ad (preferably a man or a woman with a taut belly and an emotional headline) and then select your audience by gender, location, and interests.

For interests, you could choose things related to weight loss, fitness help, etc. You may also appeal to people who have an interest in fat loss products, etc. Advertisement, there is a greater chance that they click on it. Makes sense?

For cost reasons, you'll need to test your ad and possibly some different versions of this ad. Regardless of which works best, you can throw the others overboard and then check your ad account for where the traffic is coming from. You can further analyze this audience and scale from there.

Google Ads

Google Ads requires a Google Adwords account. The registration is free. Essentially, you bid here on keywords. For example, if you rated our test product, you would bid for the keyword "Flat Belly Fix Review."

So from here you can see that our search term contains about 480 searches per month and the cost per click is $ 2.84. This is the average cost and the cost that is being paid each time someone clicks on their ad. This can vary depending on the competition. You can find keywords that cost more or even less. For these you should make a decent commission,

In our case study, if you make a sale after 5 clicks, your commission is $ 36.83 – average sale minus 5 clicks at $ 2.84, which equals $ 14.20. Your profit here would be $ 22.63. Do this 5x a day and you would earn just over $ 100 a day. This is of course hypothetical – you could do it better or worse. It's all about testing and scaling.

If you've found a campaign that works, increase your budget step by step. Start slowly and watch your results carefully.

By the way, the tool I used is called key search, I use it mainly for SEO purposes, so you do not really need it for paid ads. Google Ads will give you this information anyway. Use my discount code KSDISC and get 20% off if you think about getting it. It is great for keyword research and analysis of the competition. You can also mine Keysearch review this amazing tool.

This completes the paid ad section. There's a lot more that I mentioned – that's a whole course! Note, however, that at the end of the article, as I have already mentioned, I suggest some resources that you should get to know in detail.

Email Marketing

You probably heard the term "the money is in the list" from somewhere. There is something true about that. If you have a list of 50,000 people generated from a financial blog and are trying to market our Flat Belly Fix offer, you will not get much sales. In fact, you could bother your audience with something else.

But if you have a health and fitness blog and make your list out of it, this offer makes perfect sense and is laser-targeted to your audience. See the difference? It is not a list but a targeted list. In this case, a list of just 1000 people would be much more effective than the list of more than 50,000 people in another niche.

To create your list, you need an autoresponder. I strongly recommend getting response However, you can use any option. Note, however, that on some platforms affiliate marketing like Mailchimp and some others is not allowed. Get Response is affiliate marketing friendly and I use it myself on most of my websites.

Of course, you do not need that unless you do Set up your blogBut if you do, you'll get a free 30-day trial to test it anyway. It's a breeze.

Get answer You have registration forms that you can use on your website, and there is a Live Chat option for support in case you ever get stuck. They just do it.

Another reason why you should create an e-mail list is to track your customers before they leave. Once they leave your site, they will probably never return. With a list, you can market them as long as you like.

The most important thing you need to understand is that you provide added value. If you send only one offer after the other by e-mail, they will unsubscribe from your list. Add value and suggest a product that could be helpful in the problem you are addressing. This is the best approach and your readers will appreciate your suggestions! The best part is that you make $ $ out of your suggestions. How cool is that? If you follow this approach with your marketing, you will do well.

Conclusion

I know there was a lot to read, but I hope you enjoyed my overview of affiliate marketing and you understand how it works.

What I said in this article was just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many other details that I could not list because that's a whole course, not an article.

However, if you feel you want to know more and start affiliate marketing, then I have a suggestion for a course that I think is the best one.

The course is Savage Affiliates by Franklin Hatchett, You may have heard of him before or stumbled across his videos on Youtube. He is a very knowledgeable guy, both in affiliate and eCom.

I have a Review of Savage Affiliates and I invite you to read it. You'll see what you get when I buy the course myself and bring you in. By the way, the price of just $ 197 to $ 297 is way too expensive. With the amount of content and knowledge you gain, it should be a lot more expensive.

Whether you buy it or not, that's up to you. You can still find some free online affiliate marketing resources that could help. This course gives you everything you need to know if you are a complete newcomer or already in the affiliate marketing game and want to learn new strategies.
