If you own an ecommerce store and you do not advertise on Google Shopping, you might miss a lot of sales. That's why you should seriously think about it. Facebook ads are good, but an extra strategy to make sales is a breeze.
Then comes Dennis Moons with his course "Google Shopping Success" – the focus of my report today.
Google Shopping is not new, it has been around for several years. Your competitors use it, why not you? To compete with them, you need the necessary tools to be successful. This tool is a good course and today we will see if you should invest in it.
The course costs $ 249 for a one-time fee or 3 payments of $ 90. It's a relatively short course with 40 videos, just over 5 hours. I think the good news is that you could cancel the course in one day.
Who is Dennis Moons?
Dennis is the founder of his company Store Growers. He is an ecommerce expert on PPC and not only teaches these things, but uses Google Ads campaigns in his own company.
He is an official Google partner (incidentally me too), where he has worked with many clients and has spent over $ 3.5 million on advertising costs between him and them. Impressive!
Who is this course for?
As an agency owner or consultant, you benefit from it. If you are an online shop owner with a dropshipping and / or high-ticket store, you will also benefit from his material.
Google Shopping Success Review: A Look Inside
As mentioned earlier, there are 4 modules that I will list below.
As already mentioned, you can go through this course in one day, if you like, as it is relatively short. Let's have a look at the material to see if it's worth it for you.
In this module entitled "Gear up for success"You'll learn about product feeds, setting up your Google Merchant Center, and troubleshooting Merchant Center issues.
You'll also learn how to set up your Google Ads and Analytics.
You'll also learn how to set up product feeds on Shopify, WooCommerce, and other platforms.
This module is aimed primarily at beginners who are not yet familiar with the platform, and is essentially a guide. Dennis gives a pretty good explanation of how all these things come together.
In that From start to sale Module, there are 10 videos that show you how to start, optimize and set up your campaign.
You'll also learn how to insert negative keywords, bid and bid adjustments, and create an optimization video that shows you what to do to get better results. The last video is about tracking sales in Google Analytics.
This module was a bit more advanced than the first, and includes some good strategies for getting your campaigns up and running. The videos are right on the point with little filler.
The Save & Scale module will give you 14 videos of different lengths, with the longest lasting around 25 minutes.
This module has one goal: to help you save money on poorly performing ads and scale the ads that work. This module contains advanced topics from the previous module with various strategies you can try out.
Learn how to set up custom labels, create search-level bids, product feed optimization, competitive research, star ratings, data feed tools, and more.
They will not use all of these strategies, but they are there when you need them. Again, the detail is pretty good and Dennis explains it well.
Beyond Google Shopping is the title of the last module. In the meantime, you had instructions to configure all the tools, launch your campaigns, and extend those tools with the advanced methods.
As your business evolves along with other things like your competitors, Google Shopping itself (we just love it when they switch platforms and do all those crazy algorithm updates!), You always have to keep track.
Dennis's message is that there is still a lot to do. This module focuses on getting a broader view of what's possible beyond Google Shopping.
First, get to know all Google remarketing strategies. These include dynamic remarketing, remarketing lists for search ads, and static remarketing. The last video is about "From Shopping to Search", where you focus on reaching out to new audiences rather than reminding them of those who have already been there with you.
Last thoughts on the course
If you've never worked with Google Shopping Ads, you'll definitely learn something in this course. Much is for agency, consultant or business owner.
However, if you do just that Dropshipping with ShopifyI think there are some other alternatives that you should really pay attention to.
If you use Google Shopping for e-commerce / dropshipping only, you can make your training more targeted.
There are two dropshipping experts on Google Shopping that I can highly recommend.
The first is Franklin Hatchett with his
Ecom Elites Course.
You need the "Ultimate" version of the course for $ 297. That's only $ 48 more than Google Shopping Success.
The benefit of this is that you will receive 175 videos with instructions from A to Z on how to start a dropshipping business with a module on Google Shopping that is very focused on this business. If you do dropshipping on Shopify, I'd recommend this option more than Google Shopping Success, because you get so much more.
Read my review of eCom elites to see exactly what you get.
Tristan is also an expert on Google Shopping Ads for dropshipping on Shopify. His course is a bit more expensive than Franklin's, and to be honest, it's really hard to say which one is better. They are both excellent courses and I think it depends on who you want to be taught.
Read my review in Tristan's Google Ads Ecom Academy and see for yourself what you expect.
Thanks for looking at my review today and hoping that you've made something out of it. Remember, if you're a dropshipping company, you should take it seriously and look for all sorts of advertising opportunities. Do not stay with one. The more you have, the better. It will take some work, but once you understand how it all works, your business runs like clockwork.
